Summary

PSA warns forgers may add a fake front to a real PSA label; the extra layer makes the label too thick to see through against a strong light, and parts of the real label may show. Forgers may also copy older label styles.

Reported diagnostics

  • Cannot see reverse text through label against a light
  • Another label visible underneath
  • Older-style label

What to do

Backlight the label; ask online sellers for backlit photos.
